CRALEY Fibre™ Home-Drop kits use the property’s
pre-existing water supply pipe as a conduit for the simple and direct deployment of a 4 fibre unit (4FU) drop cable.

 

The water pipe has a direct and un-interrupted route from the property boundary to the premises, making it ideal to use as a conduit for installing CRALEY's patented
Home-Drop solution.

Often, the layout of every property is very different, creating an additional challenge for fibre broadband providers in that each property becomes a separate project in itself.

One of the key benefits of the CRALEY Fibre Home-Drop kit is that each installation is the same, regardless of the layout of the property or what obstacles there may be if traditional techniques were used; ornate driveways, other utility services, tree roots etc. This makes the Home-Drop process repeatable and ensuring a faster, less disruptive and more cost-effective connection (and without the risk of striking other services).

Another key benefit is the longer the connection distance, the more cost-effective a CRALEY Fibre Home-Drop becomes, compared to using traditional techniques. The per metre cost and time taken of traditional techniques increases linearly with distance, whereas with CRALEY's Home-Drop kit, the cost of extra distance is relatively insignificant.

Using CRALEY Fibre™ for fibre optic deployment makes perfect sense, as the infrastructure is already there. This existing infrastructure provides a ready-made conduit in which a fibre cable can be installed at a faster and more cost-effective way, when compared to traditional methodologies.

One of the key design concepts with CRALEY Fibre™ is the hollow Messenger Pipe™, which is a deliberate engineering consideration, and make the finished installation fully future-proofed against changing fibre technology and/or fibre count requirements. Once the Messenger Pipe™ installation has been completed, the fibre cable can be inserted using standard
fibre-blowing techniques, installing just as many fibres as is required at that point. Should the requirement change, or fibre cable technology has moved on, the cable can simply be removed and a new cable blown-in at any time.
